Sometimes, families have obstacles and roadblocks that can tear away at the healthy fiber of family.

 

The definition of family in the Oxford dictionary is: “A group of one or more parents and their children living together as a unit.” This is not always true. Historically, families always have been generational. However, there has been a shift in the lineup of generations under one roof. Our great grandparents often reside in a nursinghome and grandparents are raising their grandchildren. Great grandparents are even the caretakers at times.

 

The reasons are varied, but the weight of the responsibility falling upon the grandparents requires increased financial expenses, physical exertion, and compounded stress for themselves, their children, and their grandchildren. If you are in this situation, we at Family Restoration Center have not forgotten about you and your loving sacrifices.
